My name is Alan L and I am a writer who not a few years ago desperately wanted to get published.
I did get my work published eventually, but I discovered looking back that if I had known a few things things would have been easier. This website is dedicated to all those authors who are trying to get their work published.
There are few tips and ideas that can easen the whole process for you and give you the inspiration you need to accomplish what you dreamed possible.
How it worked out for me
I love books. No matter what technologies come up nothing beats the idea of having a good book that you an spend time with. I decided to write a book that would help fresh college grads with their job search process.
While I though I could finish the book in a month or two ,the whole process took more than 2 years to be completed. I tried all ways to get it published on a shoestring budget but nothing really worked. Finally I self published it. But no sales.I then started actively marketing the book but still no sales. Another two years went by.At this time I was also talking with publishers to spark some interest.
Finally I managed to find a publisher who was looking for something similar.They did not publish my book but got me to write on the topic they had in mind.
Long story short. I did get published. In that period I learned how to publish books myself.
I learned the different aspects of publishing all the way from writing to printing to sales. This website is an outcome of my experiments and experiences.
I hope it will give the ideas, information and the tools you need to be published.
